Great place to just go fishin with your family friends year round. Port Aransas has been a great vacation spot for those from out of town and locally to enjoy the well groomed beaches & fish the Jetties.

 

Enjoy the Port A Jetty by walking along the granite rocks to find that perfect fishing spot and then drop your line in and kick back to enjoy the surroundings.

 

There are many different kinds of fish species you'll find there, including Redfish, Trout, Tarpon, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, and even Shark. You may want to take your cast net to capture live bait for the total fishing experience.

Helpful Fishing Hint:

Be careful as you walk the Port A Jetty. The granite boulders are basically piled up on top of each other making it difficult to use a cart or some sort of cart on wheels to take your gear in. When you plan to fish Port A Jetty, be sure to plan on carrying your gear in and out. Backpacks would be a great alternative to handle your gear. And you'll want to be able to carry your catches and garbage back out.
